Pre - Construction

  • Cost estimating and scheduling: refining strategies and recommending scope changes to reduce costs while maintaining quality and functionality; Looking ahead to identify administrative bottlenecks—initiate these processes early to avoid delays in workflow; identifying items with long lead times and initiating the decision—making process early

  • Identification of required special processes or methods: salvage of existing pieces of the building for re-use onsite; deconstruction and salvage for tax-credit purposes; tree preservation or removal; use of special foundations systems such as pin or auger-cast piles with concrete grade beams; storm water management systems and conveyances; utility installation, replacement, repair or upgrades; integration of PV solar generation systems and battery storage systems

  • Identification of specific materials and products to be used: use of certified sustainable practices in manufacturing; sourcing and pricing ‘green’ or environmentally sound or beneficial products, from framing to finish wood products; smart-home integration systems and products

Construction Preparation

  • Management of the entire construction process from salvage to final touches

  • We implement, perform and/or manage partial or complete demolitions of existing houses, garages, and accessory buildings

  • We have experience moving buildings, replacing foundations, creating basements where none exist, working on minor and major slopes, installing complex foundation systems that include pin and auger cast piles, grade beams and associated drainage and waterproofing systems

  • We install new or replace all or individual utility systems including electrical power, water supply lines, sanitary and drainage systems, gas lines, and data / cable systems

  • We self-perform all carpentry related work from framing to interior finish work including window and door installation, base, window, and door trim, ceramic, porcelain and specialty tile installation, cabinetry and appliance installation, siding installation and deck building

  • We manage all specialty trades and sub-contractors including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, insulation, drywall, painting, flooring

  • We build interior and exterior stair systems including framing, railing systems, treads & risers, handrails and lighting

  • We perform complete kitchen and bathroom renovations, remodels, and replacements

  • We manage exterior hardscape installations (pavers, stone, concrete), irrigations systems, and plantings

  • We build additions, decks, accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and garages

  • We provide follow-up services such as general maintenance, modifications and changes as necessary or desirable

  • We guarantee our work for a minimum of one year and will remain available for consultation and repairs long beyond that timeframe

  • We love hearing from past clients and are always willing to help troubleshoot home-care issues, whether they are related to our work or not

  • We will gladly help identify suitable resources if necessary for making necessary updates as the years go by: buildings contain more moving parts and electronics now that they ever have, and while these things make our lives better, they do fail, and finding suitable replacement items can be challenging.

  • If we can’t fix it ourselves, we will find the people who can: sometimes accidents occur that damage finish work, and we will always be glad to assist in repairs.
