EASTSIDE RESIDENCE

This project turned a tired mid-century house into a modern masterpiece of open spaces and clean lines. Large window walls bring the adjacent greenbelt inside, creating the feeling of living in the countryside.

COLUMBIA CITY RESIDENCE

The original house was ‘deconstructed’ rather than demolished, salvaging dumpsters full of material that would have otherwise been sent to a landfill. The finished house has a traditional feel with modern, clean lines, large banks of windows, solar panels and batteries.

BASEMENT ADDITION (work in progress)

The house above is over 100 years old and was remodeled by us in 2016. The additions is underneath and will have two new bedrooms and a new 1/2 bathroom. We are also lowering the floor level of the existing basement living space.

RAVENNA RESIDENCE

Complete remodel of a 1920s bungalow which included a partial second story addition and main level kitchen, bath, living, dining and office renovations. This project required substantial structural upgrades and a new basement.

ARBORETUM SPEC BUILD

This project left the existing foundation, allowing the retention of an existing non-conforming building location, and included 3 new floors of living space with cascade views to the east and indoor / outdoor living space to the west.

INTERIOR REFRESH

This project transformed the living, kitchen, and dining space within a 20 year old ‘builder’ house into the open, cohesive space it wanted to be. The result is a seamless appearance and continuity between spaces that are now fully open.

This project re-purposed the foundation of an abandoned mid-century brick rambler and yielded a spacious 4 bedroom house with open living areas and clean, modern finishes throughout.

CAPITOL HILL MODERN

Interior remodel of a traditional house using primarily modern detailing. Scope included complete main level and basement remodel, small addition, master bath and new finishes throughout. We are currently adding a basement under this house (see above).

GREEN LAKE SPEC BUILD

Two modern, stand alone houses with a shared garage. Each house featured heated concrete floors, open stairs with steel detailing, built in office cabinetry, 3 bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Large sliding doors seamlessly connect the interior to private outdoor patios.

Cabinetry bridges the gap between aesthetic appeal and practical, everyday usability. It can transform a space by reducing visual clutter, utilizing overlooked spaces, and defining a cohesive style that appears throughout a project. Here are a few examples of our work.

WEDGEWOOD SPEC BUILD

This house features living spaces on three levels, a sleek steel fireplace and hearth, an open floor-plan with clean cherry cabinetry and integrated cabinetry. Large sliding doors lead to a spacious deck and back yard patio. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms and a 2-car garage.

ARBORETUM RE-BUILD

An existing 30+ year old house was demolished, the foundation was retained and expanded. The finished house has 2 full levels and a partial 3rd floor with sunrise mountain views from the kitchen, deck and dining areas, the primary bedroom, and a third floor office. Finished photos to come…

BUILDING MOVE

This 2-office pod was moved with a crane onto a set of wheeled carts placed on an existing concrete slab. The final location for the building was created from concrete pavers, and the building was rolled into position.

CENTRAL DISTRICT SPEC BUILD

This project re-used and expanded the foundation of a 700sf house. The result features heated concrete floors, maple cabinetry, carrara marble countertops, and large sliding glass doors to connect the interior and exterior spaces.

DENNY BLAINE SPEC BUILD

This redevelopment of a tired rambler retained the existing foundation and some exterior walls, transforming the property into a 4 bedroom home with completely re-worked landscaping and exterior spaces.

CAPITOL HILL TRADITIONAL

This project involved the complete interior restoration of a large traditional house including the creation of a master suite, re-creation of the existing wood stair and railings, window replacement and replacement of most interior finishes.

LAKE WASHINGTON RE-BUILD

This project turned a cramped rambler into a modern farmhouse with views of Lake Washington and fluid indoor and outdoor spaces. It features a ground level suite for aging in place, two upper floor view bedrooms and living space, a hand-faced stone fireplace and a lower level ADU.

ARBORETUM RESIDENCE

This was the first house designed and built by Brian Neville. Completed in 1999, it required a foundation on auger-cast piles, integrated an innovative ‘breathable wall’ framing system, and featured heated concrete floors and exposed structure.

FREMONT DUPLEX

This project added a full second and partial third floor onto and existing duplex. The owners live in the upper two floors and rent the main level. It features a tree-house like 3rd floor bedroom with views to the west and exposed steel and wood structural elements.

This vacation house was built in stages, starting from vacant land. It features soaring ceilings exposed structure on the interior and exterior, and expansive views of the lower Methow Valley.
